Taylor was hurt in a car accident when she was 17, partially severing her spinal cord. She had several surgeries and extensive therapy. She was paralyzed from the waist down, but has recovered enough to be able to walk normally. Although not normal, she is quite weak on the one side and that could continue to improve.
