Baby Violet was born via emergency c-section after 13 hours of labor. Violet was flown from Mason City to Iowa City where they discovered she had a pinched artery on her heart. She had surgery to repair that, she also has another small hole in her heart and has been experiencing digestive issues. They have been in ICU for 5+ weeks since birth. Violet suffered a setback and had to be life flighted back to Iowa City with pneumonia and other issues. It was discovered that the replacement valve was not working properly so they have decided that an open heart surgery is needed to correct.
